All the Clothes
All the Clothes began as a series of clothing swap events in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a facilitator I created opportunities for people within my community at the University of Cincinnati to come together and exchange no longer worn clothes for different ones. With clothes swaps, there is always the risk of the clothes not being chosen and worn by someone else. In these photographs and videos, I am considering my relationship with my own clothes and the clothes leftover at the swaps, and what is means to be the caretaker of these garments.
From public spaces to my studio, my role changes from performer, facilitator, host, and event coordinator, to photographer, editor, and again performer. Is the art found in the photographs, the video, the clothes, the events, or am I the art?
